BMDV visits India to exchange on digital public services
Dr Rudolf Gridl, Director General of the Central Department at the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV), visited New Delhi on 6 and 7 March 2023. His aim was an exchange on the digitalisation of government administration and digital public services. BMDV and the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) organised the delegation visit within the framework of the Indo-German Digital Dialogue.

Publication: Green Paper on 5G Campus Networks
The Secretariat for the Brazilian-German Digital Dialogue coordinated a task force of experts to debate 5G campus networks in Brazil and Germany. After a year of exchanges, the task force finalised a green paper on 5G campus networks. It is written in Portuguese and now available for download below.

Kick-off: Stakeholder Forum International Digital Policy
The German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) has launched the stakeholder participation process for Germany's strategy on international digital policy. Ben Brake, Director General Digital and Data Policy at BMDV, invited to the first Stakeholder Forum International Digital Policy on 23 February. It took place in German.

German Stakeholder Consultations 2022/23 for the International Digital Dialogues
On 24 January, the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) hosted German stakeholder consultations for the International Digital Dialogues, in Berlin and online. The consultations provided an opportunity for German stakeholders to share their interests and discuss current topics, challenges and ideas for activities within the International Digital Dialogues.

Public consultation for the next broadband bidding in Mexico
In early January 2023, the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) published a notice for the opening of a public consultation. The goal is to gather information and proposals for the design and preparation of the next public tender. The result will be the granting of concessions for the use and commercial exploitation of frequency bands of the radio spectrum, available for the provision of wireless access services.

Mid-term review of the Brazilian-German Digital Dialogue
On 6 December 2022, the German-Brazilian Digital Dialogue went through its second mid-term review meeting. Representatives from the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and the German Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport (BMDV) highlighted the accomplishments of the Digital Dialogue. They also discussed topics to be included in the new biannual Work Plan.

Brazilian-German exchange about data protection policy
On 7 December 2022, the Secretariat for the Brazilian-German Digital Dialogue initiated an online exchange series about data protection. Representatives from both the public and private sectors attended the first technical exchange which was held in Portuguese. The topic of the discussion was the dosimetry of administrative sanctions. IGF 2022: Workshop on global AI governance for sustainable development
On 1 December, the International Digital Dialogues organised a hybrid workshop at the UN Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2022 to discuss the global governance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for sustainable development. The speakers agreed that inclusive multi-stakeholder approaches are essential for developing AI governance frameworks, and that there is a need for AI governance structures that actively promote sustainable development.

Exchange on e-government within Brazilian-German Digital Dialogue
The technical exchange on e-government between the Brazilian Ministry of Economy (ME) and the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) was held on 22 November 2022. During the virtual meeting, both sides presented their experiences and challenges regarding the digitalisation of public administration.
