From dialogue to action: Strengthening Mexican-German MSME cooperation

The discussions focused on the current situation and challenges in supporting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Mexico and Germany.
The exchange with AMENEER focused on MSMEs in the context of the energy transition, particularly in renewable energy and energy efficiency. Participants discussed barriers for MSMEs, including access to financing, digitalisation and regulatory frameworks, and highlighted the importance of innovation and sustainable investment.
Shared priorities and next steps for MSME support
The exchange with the Business Coordinating Council (CCE) addressed competitiveness, the investment climate, and economic policy. The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA, T-MEC) was also discussed, particularly its impact on supply chains, nearshoring, and business opportunities for MSMEs.
The meetings strengthened institutional exchange between the organisations, identified common priorities for MSME support, and resulted in an invitation for Mexican stakeholders to participate in the “Zukunftstag Mittelstand” on 15 April 2026 in Berlin, fostering future Mexican-German cooperation and dialogue.

The Secretariat for the Mexican-German Digital Dialogue, in collaboration with NTT DATA, presents the new publication “5G Practical Guide - Use cases and recommendations for industrial application in Mexico”. This guide identifies 5G use cases in key industrial sectors such as manufacturing, automotive production and logistics automation, and offers concrete recommendations for their implementation. The publication marks a milestone in Mexico’s journey towards a connectivity-driven, innovation-led economy.

Workshop on 5G Innovation: Advancing Industrial Applications in Mexico
