From framework to collaboration: Indo-German Digital Dialogue at Nagarro's Flo Conference
How can a political framework for digital cooperation turn into real collaboration between Indian and German companies? Representatives from the German Embassy in India, the German "Mittelstand", GIZ, Nagarro, and the Indian industry talked about this question in a panel discussion called "Looking Forward, Together: The Next Steps and Shared Vision for India-Germany Digital Collaboration". It took place at Nagarro's Flo Conference in Gurugram, India on 9 October 2026.

"AI for Mittelstand" Roadshow unlocks AI opportunities for Indian and German companies
From 22 September to 1 October 2026, the AI for Mittelstand Working Group toured Germany. A delegation of 25 Indian AI SMEs visited key hubs of Germany’s Mittelstand. The goal: turning the Indo-German AI Pact into practical cooperation. The roadshow connected solution providers from India with German SMEs and industry associations to explore concrete use cases and identify next steps for co-innovation and market access.

AI, Data and Quantum (AIDAQ) Summit 2026: Advancing digital partnerships with tech middle powers
At Bitkom’s AI, Data and Quantum (AIDAQ) Summit, the Secretariat for the International Digital Dialogues organised a booth as well as high-level and expert exchanges, which led to new partnerships. The event took place from 22-23 September at Berlin Congress Center and featured over 140 sessions and more than 2500 participants.
Canada
Canada and Germany deepen their AI cooperation for more technological sovereignty at ALL IN
From 16-17 September 2026, a German business delegation as well as a delegation of the German Federal Ministry for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation (BMDS) took part in ALL IN, Canada’s largest AI and tech event in Montréal. As Country of Honour, Germany was proud to host the “German Pavilion” and present its AI ecosystem. Two productive days concluded with a deepening of Canadian-German AI cooperation on multiple fronts.

Germany and Japan strengthen cooperation on AI for government modernisation and digitalisation as well as 6G
The 9th annual meeting of the Japan-Germany ICT Policy Dialogue brought together government representatives and business leaders to advance cooperation on key digital technologies. Discussions focused on AI, data policy, online safety, 5G/6G and wireless power transfer. Both sides want to translate dialogue into concrete cooperation and set clear priorities for 2027.

Indonesian-German working groups on data protection and AI governance hold their first meetings
As part of the Indonesian-German Digital Dialogue, two working groups with representatives from both countries have held their first meetings on 26 August 2026. The working groups focus on (1) data protection and (2) AI governance. The participants work on practical questions - for example, how regulatory practices can ensure data protection and enable AI innovation.

Putting the Indo-German AI Pact into practice: The “AI for Mittelstand” Working Group is growing
After its launch in April 2026, the new AI for Mittelstand Working Group has taken off. Last week, it held two webinars to engage businesses and associations and to inform them of opportunities to participate. An upcoming roadshow in Germany as well as targeted matchmaking between Mittelstand companies and AI providers in India will further advance Indo-German cooperation on AI application across industries.

Kenyan IT talent and European demand: building new partnerships for digital services
While European companies debate the effects of AI adoption on talent shortages, a delegation of Kenyan IT companies made a direct pitch: the skilled talent and services many European businesses are looking for already exist – in Nairobi. These talents cannot only fill junior roles but are increasingly skilled and adapt to the changing work environments of AI.

Connected against harm: A Kenyan-German exchange on tech-facilitated gender-based violence
The Kenyan-German Digital Dialogue hosts a series of exchanges with KICTANet, a Kenyan think tank, and the Federal Association of Women's Counseling Centers and Women's Emergency Hotlines in Germany (bff). The exchanges are dedicated to mutual learning and collaboration on the mitigation of technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) in Kenya and Germany.
